2009 AGM

The annual Squash Club AGM was held on 10th June 2009. The minutes may be found here.

The Juniors' Section in particular continues to go from strength to strength under Stephen Lloyd's guidance, with now some 70+ junior members with County rankings and Saturday evenings remaining very popular.

At something of the other end of the spectrum, congratulations to Eamon Price and Tony Clifford who represented England in the recent Home Internationals at Over-45 and Over-65 respectively.

It will come as no surprise that in the current economic climate there is no news on the Rugby Club redevelopment. Court One has now been re-plastered and Court Two has received its first clean; both floors have been sanded. Court Three has been repainted.

The Chairman also mentioned the forthcoming Golf Day on Sept 22nd for which application forms are on the notice board.

There will be a modest increase in subscription levels in September.

Membership Fees 2010-11

Membership runs from September to August. The levels of membership are:

Full Adult £60.00

Off-Peak Adult £40.00

Family £84.00 (up to 2 children)

Junior £12.00

Student £18.00

As well as membership of the club, the subscription includes associate membership of England Squash. Members will receive copies of the England Squash magazine and individual insurance cover. 2008 AGM

The annual Squash Club AGM was held on 21st July 2008. The minutes may be found here.

In summary, the club is in good health, with a strong and active membership at both senior and junior level.

For those interested in the proposed redevelopment, details may be found in the minutes. Briefly - the collapse of developer Esporta means that the Rugby Club are looking at alterative options for development. This makes it likely that the club will continue in its present form for some time to come.

Club subscriptions will remain at 2007 levels.
